GREAT VALUE FROM YOUR SPPHAV INSURANCE

Did you know that the SPPHAV Public Liability Insurance Cover, that comes free with your Single or Family membership with the SPPHAV covers you and your horse for:

  • Your travel to or from any event that offers an advertised Standardbred ring and that is listed in the SPPHAV web site Events Calendar.  The actual show insurance cover comes into play while you are at the show.
  • Your travel to or from and while you are at any event / function put on by the SPPHAV that is listed in the SPPHAV web site Events Calendar or the calendar in our newsletter.
  • You are also covered at any PCAV (Pony Club) event that offers “Open” events so long as you show your current SPPHAV membership card and a copy of our “Certificate of Currency” that can be found on the FORMS page of this web site.  While the current “Certificate of Currency” on the web site shows cover until 1 January 2015 we are actually covered so you will need to print off a copy of the “Advice Notice” that is labelled Insurance Advice Notice also found on the forms page.

If you know of any show that is offering a Standardbred ring or competition that is not listed in our Events Calendar please email secretary@spphav.org.au to let us know and please provide us with the name of the show and contact details of the show.

SPPHAV members who are also HRCAV members are covered under the HRCAV policy while travelling to and from and while participating at any HRCAV event.

SOLVE THE MYSTERY BEHIND THE COLOURED PAGES IN YOUR SPPHAV PERFORMANCE CARD

SPPHAV performance cards have lots of different coloured pages that probably confuse members who receive one for the first time.  We are now sending a copy of the document (available from the link below) to each new member who purchases a local performance card and having it available here, on the web site, may also be useful to our members.

SPPHAV CODE OF CONDUCT

The SPPHAV Committee ratified the official Code Of Conduct for the Association at its meeting held on Monday 2nd June.

A copy of the Code Of Conduct will be sent to all members with the next newsletter mailout and is now available on the Rules, Risk and Judging page of the web site.

A copy of the Code Of Conduct will also be provided to all new members joining the SPPHAV.

BLANK RESULT SHEET

This link - results sheet - will bring up a prepared blank sheet for collecting Standardbred ring results at High Point Shows but it can also be used for smaller shows, just cross out the classes not offered and rename others if necessary.  If you are going to a show and will be able to take down the results for us and post them to us at the PO box we will be most grateful.

If you expect the day to be wet it is a good idea to take more than one copy of the document with you and keep the spare set dry.  It is also a good idea to write the results in pencil if the day is going to be wet.
